i have neglected this blog for so long. our lives have gone through so much change the past few months, but i'm still alive and back in houston. i'm working full time and i hate not being with bastian all day. but its a sacrifice i had to made in order to start our new adventure.

our resolution for this year is to embark into new adventures every chance we get. i know bastian will grow up to be a little adventurer just like mommy and daddy.

bastian's christmas wish list

i gathered a few of my favorite things that i've had my eye on for a few weeks now... bastian loves pirates, cars, puzzles and elephants so here is a little wish list for him:

 

1. skuut trainer bike. (we ordered this through amazon)

2. melissa & doug pattern blocks.

3. gingiber safari wall decal. (he would love this on his wall)

4. manhattan toy mini cars.

5. fournier pirate pillow. (how cute is this by the way? this is my favorite!)

christmas card

i finally mailed our christmas cards yesterday, bastian had fun dropping the cards into the outgoing mail box. we couldn't find the right time to get our 'official' christmas picture taken this year, so instead i used one of our favorite pictures from our trip to mexico this summer.

we always get our cards from shutterfly (fyi: they have 30% off on selected holiday cards right now).

3. gift wrapping... we got all our christmas shopping done by this week so i'm really excited and i'm taking my time to make them beautiful (even though my beautiful wrapping will be destroyed in less than 10 seconds on christmas day..)

10,000 reasons

the other day i was driving and the song 10,000 reasons by matt redman came up on the radio and i noticed that  Bastian started singing(humming), he kept saying "soul, soul, soul" (that's all he knows) i pulled over and just stared at him. i was so impressed by the way this 2 year old child was praising God, he lifted up his arms and his eyes seemed focused on something, he looked so peaceful and pure i felt jealous of his connection with the Lord. it just reminded me that we are all God's children and no matter how old you are we all have a relationship with him and honestly i think my 2 year old's relationship with God is purer and more genuine than mine is right now (shame on me). and i know that God used him to teach me a lesson and will continue to use him for His glory.
